Beast of the depths

This is just a dragon doodle I started yesterday while donating plasma, and finished yesterday while watching .hack//SIGN. I might make it a full picture for my 50 mythical creatures challenge, if there's not a spot of water dragon I'll make one. I think I went over board with the fins...

mechanical pencil in my sketchbook, scan took away a lot of subtle shading but oh well.

Requesting critiques since I haven't done dragons in a very long time.

I also realize the layout of the image is odd, what with all the negative space right in front of him, but there's a kirin in that space on my paper, wasn't happy with it so i left it out of the scan.
